EASTER MEDITATIONS
Inspired by the exquisite 14th century fresco cycle by Giotto di Bondone, from The Scrovegni Chapel, Padua (Italy)
Some of these works, like the Lamentation are said to be amongst the greatest paintings of the Middle Ages.
Yet our focus here is on a re-telling of the story rather than on the art of the frescoes themselves. They will be our way in, our point of entry into a deep pondering of the story, as they were created to be.
