For over 30,000 years the peoples of the world revered a Great Mother Goddess. But then, about 4000 years ago something changed. A different story began to unfold, in which the notion of a goddess was diminished. A new mythology emerged enshrining different values that have led us inexorably to the present day, to our era of extreme left-brain sophistication, to undreamed of scientific advancement. We have grown up so to speak, we have put away childish things. We have forgotten we ever had a mother with whom we were once one.
Yet without her – life is barren – a wasteland, the legends say, where nothing can grow & no one can live.
Join us as we delve into this vast story.
THE LITTLE GODDESS - e-book
Drawing deeply on the enchanting myth of Isis & Osiris - The Little Goddess is a time-traveling adventure for 14 year old Jamila who finds herself mysteriously transported to the exquisite, moonlit Temple of Isis in ancient Egypt. There she meets Mia, a young girl identical to herself, who is the newly initiated High Priestess of the Temple. Jamila soon learns that Mia's mother has been imprisoned by the wicked Pharoah who seeks absolute power throughout the land. Together the two girls must find a way to rescue Mia's mother and restore the rightful heir to the throne before disaster overcomes the land. Both girls are pushed to their limits - the choices they make have implications far beyond themselves - the outcome is shaped by them alone.
For lovers of myth & make-believe of all ages.

" .... a beautiful rendering of a magical story that takes the listener into an enchanted world where dark powers are overcome by the devoted love of a sister for her brothers. Anne Maria's voice is beautiful and she tells it beautifully and poignantly, drawing the listener into the story and its unfolding. Many congratulations in creating such a moving rendering of one of the great fairy tales."

DANTE ALIGHIERI in QUEST of PARADISE
A Series of talks in celebration of the 700-year anniversary of Dante’s death in 1321
Presented by Anne Maria Clarke
Enluminure, Giovanni di Paolo, Sienne, v. 1438–44
The quest for Paradise is the quest for consciousness, writes Jungian analyst Helen Luke in her book Dark Wood to White Rose: Journey & Transformation in Dante’s Divine Comedy, but in order to discover the light we must first encounter the darkness. This dark night of the soul is where Dante’s Commedia famously begins.
The journey that follows is universal. It will lead us to the very depths of hell, and then onward, if we survive, to the great Mountain of Purgatory, to a cleansing and purification of our souls in readiness for the great ascent to Paradise and to heaven’s bliss.
Join us as we peer into the mystery of Dante’s greatest work.
